Inshore Fishing Charters
Inshore fishing charters primarily target Speckled Trout and Redfish in the various bay systems surrounding Panama City Beach. We are generally fishing shallow grass flats and shorelines in 1' - 5' of water. The water here in the Emerald Coast is usually very clear and sight fishing while targeting Redfish in particular is common.
Fishing trip start times will be based on the weather and tides. During cooler months we will likely try to head out sometime between 8:00am and 10:00am. During the heat of the summer, trips may start very early - potentially departing in the dark so we can begin fishing at first light. Afternoon trip which are primarily in the Spring and Fall typically start around 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
Inshore fishing charters may include blind casting or sight fishing depending on client preference, weather conditions and water clarity. Trips can be tailored to the expert and novice alike - we aim to please!
Late Fall and through the winter offers outstanding opportunities to sight fish for tailing Redfish up in the skinny water. Negative tides and sunny days offer up Redfish rooting around in mere inches of water looking for crustaceans to feed on. This is one of my favorite ways to fish as it is stalking the fish, making the proper presentation with your lure and watching some really cool eats.
We will primarily be fishing with artificial lures so some familiarity with using spinning tackle will be very helpful to your success.
